There is so much great stonework done there, its a pity they cant do some kind of restoration. The place just needs some woodwork. Im not talking flushed toilets and electric lights even. Just like it was when it was new.

Historic monuments are protected sites and can't be renovated back to original form
only renovations allowed would be to maintain it as is, so that it wouldn't deteriorate
into a worse state over time

I drive past Greyabbey everytime i am going to Kirkistown, and i have been going their for 35 year's !! it was only last july i called in to see the ruin's, a lot of history their. Great shot's Musket !!!
