The sensor of my Nikon D80 on it's first exposure to the air, just look at how the air born lint, dust and pollen
found somewhere to land Very Happy I could see pollen grains very clearly with this gizmo.

Quite right, the bedroom is not the best place to do this. I have found that my best room
to clean the sensor is the bathroom, I think the moisture in the air there keeps the dust down Very Happy

I pity this guy if the pollen count was high that day Smile

And I noticed he didn't even use the bulb puffer affraid

I've often thought of making a clean box with air filtration to deal with sensor cleaning Smile

    http://blog.makezine.com/archive/2006/10/how_to_make_cle.html

or even a tent Very Happy

    http://www.ceramisis.com/inflatable_cleanroom.htm

Anyone who could make one could then set themselves up in business
as master sensor cleaners ........ :santa:

The clean box is for sterility. The clean room isnt practical. You want a container which is dust/lint/pollen free.
A plastic box with preferably a clear lid. A hole on each end wall as well as two holes in the front large enough for your hands to go through which have plugs over them. A hair dryer inserted through one hole from the inside. A filter from vacuum attached over the other hole. With the clear lid in place, and after running the hair dryer for a couple of minutes remove plugs from holes in front and insert your hands. There should be no small particles floating around.

Wow, We clean our own sensors, but we first use the rocket blower, take a test shot, then if needed, use the arctic butterfly, take a test shot, then if needed, use the swabs and of course we do all this while standing outside in the wind blown desert. affraid . . NOT!!!!!
We clean it in the kitchen, seems to work well for us.
