    Small Woodland Stream

    Post by russellsnr2 on Wed 12 Nov 2008 - 12:16

Firstly thank you to those who commented on my first input to the forum, nice to no that there are (or sounds like there are)people out there who enjoy photography as a hobby and realise we are all not the same ie:- proffesionals with MK?? D's or 5000 dollar/pound lenses.
Please again C&C on this photograph.

    How Do I do It.

    Post by russellsnr2 on Wed 12 Nov 2008 - 16:57

    Again thanks for the feedback.
    I use software called Photomatix.
Take 3 Photos, (2 stops under) (Normal) (2 stops over)
Them merge with software, adjust in Photoshop for Saturation, Contrast etc.
There are many a lot better than mine (I'm just a novice) just google HDRI photography Photographs and see what you get or maybe this link will work http://www.visualphotoguide.com/category/hdr-photography/

Well sorry to say I'm not a fan of HDR, as very often
there is a confusion of colour without a centre of attention
and file sizes that are too small (high compression) don't
reveal enough details in the scenes to satisfy me, but it
may well suit those who like a hand painted acrylic look to
photo's....ie trying to emulatate painting as opposed to
    recognizable photographs.

A before and after photo's seems like a good idea here.

What camera equipment are you using? It is usual to give
details of shooting exif etc., what you are attempting to do
with editing etc., and submit just one picture per topic for
    consideration when looking for C&C..........musket.

    Russellsnr2,

I really like the composition of each of the shots and the colors are really good on the last two.
On the first one the water seems alitttle to blue. I use the Hue/Saturation tool in Photoshop and used the color picker to pick just the blue in the water. Then used the saturation slider to remove the blue tint.
