Hey Bynx,
I like the first pose better. I think a darker background without the picture and flowers would help. Also, maybe try a B/W conversion to bring out the textures in the face a bit more.

Thanks Mugmar. I can take out the flowers but I dont want to monkey with the picture. Unfortunately I just missed his hair overlapping the frame. You know, as I sit here typing this I think I will delete the picture and flowers. Thanks.

As far as the facial expression is concerned, i like his serious look than a less sure smile ; further corner of the photo should not have touched his head for better appeal i feel
